On Friday, Rashmika Mandanna appeared on social media to release the intense first look of her next film Mysaa, presenting what she called the most intense and rawest version of herself so far.
The actress announced that the new character represents a side of her she had never seen before. Posting the first-look poster on Instagram, Rashmika sports a powerful and gritty avatar — half her face covered, bloodstains on her face enhancing the tough look on her face.
Dressed in a vintage saree with tribal-inspired ornaments and a crescent-shaped bindi, her appearance speaks of a profound transformation for the actress. The poster emanates power, enigma, and raw energy, hinting at a personality forged by raw emotion and conflict.
Looking back on her travels into the unknown, the Animal star categorized the character as a significant departure from everything she has ever done. She confessed that she had both nervousness and exhilaration at making this career shift. The universe of Mysaa, she said, was one that she had never traversed before — and one that enabled her to find a new facet of herself.
In her Instagram post, the Pushpa star penned:
"I always try to give you something new… something different… something exciting…
And this… This is one of those.
A character I've never acted before… a world I've never entered… and a version of me that even I hadn't met till now.
It's fierce. it's intense and it's extremely raw.
I'm that nervous and so excited, I really can't wait for you guys to see what we're going to be making. This is just the starting point.
#Mysaa.
Mysaa is said to be an emotional action thriller and features Rashmika in a woman from the Gond tribal community. The movie is directed by Rawindra Pulle and produced by Ajay and Anil Sayyapureddy. Though the plot points are closely kept under wraps, the initial looks indicate Rashmika is going all out with a role that takes her artistic range to a deeper, more primal level.
As expectations grow, viewers can look forward to witnessing a radically transformed Rashmika Mandanna in a tale of intensity, feeling, and untold cultural depth.
